Monica Bacelli

Monica Bacelli studied with Maria Vittoria Romano and Donato Martorella and graduated from the Conservatory of Pescara. After winning the Concorso Belli, she made her debut in Spoleto as Cherubino and Dorabella. Since then her career has taken her to major theatres in Italy and throughout the world including La Scala Milan, the Vienna State Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Covent Garden, and San Francisco and to leading orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Conductors with whom she has collaborated include Abbado, Bychkov, Chailly, Dudamel, Harding, Mehta, Muti, Ozawa, Pappano, Rattle and Bolton.

Trio Metamorphosi

The name of the Trio is a hymn to the continuous process of change, so necessary in the artistic sphere. And it intends to underline the progressive growth of a chamber ensemble never enslaved to the habit, indeed, always ready to get involved with the desire to create unique perspectives in each performance. The three musicians also boast other previous chamber music experiences of the highest order: in duo (cello and piano), in string quartet, as well as collaborations with the likes of Magaloff, Pires and the same Meneses. They perform in many of the most prestigious sales in the world, from the Berlin Philharmonic to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, from the Salle Gaveau in Paris to the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, from the Carnegie Hall in New York to the Coliseum in Buenos Aires.
